Billing recurring cleans
For weekly or bi-weekly clients, one invoice per month with the number of visits as the quantity is easier for everyone than one invoice per visit. Put the dates in the cleaning dates field so the client can match the invoice to their calendar.
Add-ons and extras
Inside the oven, inside the fridge, interior windows and laundry are usually priced separately. Keeping them in the add-ons group shows the client exactly what the extra charges were for.
Questions
How should I price a cleaning job on the invoice?
Show whichever unit you quoted: per visit, per hour or per square foot. The quantity and unit columns print exactly what you enter, such as "2 visit" or "3.5 hr", next to the rate.
Can I charge a lockout or cancellation fee?
Only if your service agreement says so. State the policy in the terms box on every invoice, and add the fee as its own line when it applies so it is not hidden in the visit price.
Is there a commercial cleaning version?
Use the same template and change the property details to the site name and area. For contracts billed monthly at a fixed price, a single line with the month as the description works well.
