Disclosures
Last updated . How Toolspike makes money, and what that does and does not affect.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may be paid a commission if you buy something after following one. Some placements are paid. Credit packs are sold for runs beyond each tool’s free daily run. None of that changes what a tool does, what it costs you, or what it tells you.
We show no advertising. There are no ad networks, no ad cookies and no ad personalisation on this site.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link carries a code that tells the destination we sent you. If you then buy something, we may receive a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way; the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
Affiliate links are labelled where they appear. If a link is not labelled, it is not an affiliate link.
Following one takes you to a third party that sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy. We do not control that, and we do not receive the details of what you buy beyond a confirmation that a purchase happened.
Paid placements
We may accept payment to feature a product or service. Anything paid for is labelled as such, clearly and next to the content itself rather than in a footnote.
We do not sell placement inside a tool’s result. A conversion, a calculation or a recognition result is never influenced by who has paid us. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
Paid credits
Every tool on Toolspike has one free trial a day, with no account, and the EMI and simple interest calculators are always free. Runs beyond that consume credits, 2 per run. A free account receives a small allowance each day; beyond that, credit packs can be bought.
Purchases are sold by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record, which handles payment, tax and invoicing. Credit packs are one-time purchases and nothing renews automatically. The refund policy sets out when money comes back.
Credits are how the site is paid for. For the AI and OCR tools they also cover the fee each request costs us at the provider.
Editorial independence
The tools and the written notes are built and maintained independently. No advertiser, affiliate partner or sponsor reviews them before publication or has any say in what they conclude.
The coverage page is generated from the code itself rather than written by hand, so it cannot be quietly talked up. Where a tool is limited, the limitation is published on the tool’s own page.
What we do not do
- We do not display advertising of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal information.
- We do not read, store or transmit the contents of files processed in your browser.
- We do not accept payment to change a tool’s output or to rank one result above another.
- We do not publish a review or recommendation without disclosing a paid relationship behind it.
Questions
If anything on this page is unclear, or you think something is insufficiently labelled, write to [email protected]. We would rather over-disclose than leave you guessing.
