PDF tools

Merge, split, rotate, compress, number and watermark PDF documents, or turn pages into images. Every PDF operation runs inside your browser.

Everything you need to reshape a PDF, without an upload

PDF is the format documents settle into when they need to look the same everywhere, which is exactly what makes them awkward to change. These tools cover the operations people actually need: joining files, pulling pages out, deleting the ones nobody wants, turning sideways scans the right way up, numbering, watermarking, and moving between pages and pictures.

Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The document is read into memory on your own device and rebuilt there, so a contract, a medical record or a set of case exhibits can be reworked without being sent to a processing queue somewhere else.

Which PDF tool do you need?

Several files that should be one

Merge PDF joins up to 30 documents in an order you set. If your sources are photographs or scans rather than PDFs, start with Images to PDF.

One file that should be several

Split PDF extracts a range, breaks a document into fixed chunks, or bursts it into one file per page, delivered as a ZIP.

Pages you want gone

Remove PDF Pages deletes a selection and keeps the rest in one document, with odd and even shortcuts for duplex scans.

A file too big to send

Compress PDF rewrites the internal structure. It helps most on repeatedly edited documents and does little for scans.

Pages that need marking or numbering

Add Page Numbers writes a real sequence into the page content; Add Watermark stamps text or a logo across the pages you choose.

Pages you need as pictures

PDF to Image renders pages to PNG, JPEG or WebP at up to 600 DPI, for slides, thumbnails, or anyone whose phone will not open a PDF.

Questions about PDF tools

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Every PDF tool on this site runs in your browser using a library that loads on demand. The file is read into memory on your device and the result is built there, so no copy is transmitted at any point.

Can these tools open password-protected PDFs?

No. Encrypted documents are refused with a clear message rather than being partly processed. Open the file in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and use that instead.

How large a PDF can I work with?

Most accept files up to 150 MB. Page ceilings vary by operation: 3,000 pages for merging, splitting, rotating and numbering, 2,000 for watermarking, 500 for the structural rewrite and 200 for rendering pages to images.

Will merging or splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied across whole rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed. Only PDF to Image rasterises, because turning a page into a picture necessarily does.

What is the best way to make a PDF smaller?

Delete pages you do not need first — that saves far more than any compressor. Then try the structural rewrite, which is lossless. If the file is mostly scans, the size is in the images and only re-exporting them at a lower resolution will shift it.
