SSC signature resizer (10 to 20 KB)
The SSC CGL 2026 and CHSL 2026 notices ask for a signature in JPEG format of 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high. There is no photograph to upload: the application captures your photo live.
No sign-up. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Free trial: 1 run of Resize Image to KB every day. After that, 2 credits per run.
The upload rules

About the live photograph
The notices say the photograph is captured inside the application, without a cap, mask or glasses and against a plain background. Photographing an old printed photo can get the form rejected, so do not use a photo resizer for it.
Fitting a signature into 10 to 20 KB
The preset frames the signature to a 3 to 1 shape at 354 x 118 pixels. If the file comes out under 10 KB, the tool enlarges it slightly, which the "about" wording allows, rather than adding noise.
Questions
Do I need to upload a photo for SSC CGL 2026?
No. The photograph is taken live in the application. Only the signature file is uploaded, and candidates who verify with Aadhaar are not rejected on photo or signature grounds, according to the notice.
Is 20 KB the same as 20,000 bytes?
Portals differ, so the tool stays at or below 20,000 bytes, which is under 20 KB however it is counted, and at or above 10,240 bytes for the minimum.
Can I sign on my phone screen instead?
The notice asks for a signature image; a pen signature on white paper photographed flat is the safest option and matches what you sign at the exam.
