Compress image to 50 KB
Fifty KB is a common limit for application photos and thumb impressions, including the IBPS photo and thumb rules of 20 to 50 KB. It is enough for a clear passport-style photo, so the aim is to keep as much detail as the limit allows.

What fits comfortably in 50 KB
A passport-shaped photo at the few-hundred-pixel sizes forms ask for usually fits at high quality. Photos straight from a phone camera are several megabytes, so they are resized down in pixels as well as quality, and the result tells you the final size.
Converting PNG screenshots
The output is always JPEG, which is what upload forms expect. Transparent areas in a PNG become white rather than black, so logos and signatures on transparent backgrounds come out clean.
Questions
How do I reduce a photo from 2 MB to 50 KB?
Add it, keep "Under 50 KB" selected, and download. The tool first tries quality alone at the original size, then reduces the pixel size step by step until the file fits.
Does compressing to 50 KB remove location data?
Yes. The new JPEG is drawn fresh from the pixels, so camera details such as GPS location and the phone model are not copied into it.
Can I keep an exact pixel size and still hit 50 KB?
Yes. Choose Custom size, enter the width and height, and tick Exact pixels. Only quality changes then, and the tool tells you if the limit cannot be reached at that size.
