JEE Main 2026 photo and signature resizer

The JEE (Main) 2026 information bulletin asks for a colour photograph of 10 to 200 KB and a signature of 10 to 100 KB, both as JPG. Unlike NEET, the photo must be in colour, so the black and white option is switched off for it.

No sign-up. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Free trial: 1 run of Resize Image to KB every day. After that, 2 credits per run.

From the NTA JEE (Main) 2026 Information Bulletin (2025-11-02), checked 2026-09-28.

Photo rules in the bulletin

A white background, the face covering about 80% of the photo with ears visible, and no mask. A live photo is also captured during the process, so the uploaded photo should look like you do today.

Getting the signature right

Sign in black ink on plain white paper and photograph it in good light, flat and square. Frame it closely so the signature fills most of the picture, then use "Whiten the paper" to lift a grey background.

Questions

Is a black and white photo allowed for JEE Main?

No. The JEE (Main) 2026 bulletin asks for a colour photograph, so this preset keeps colour even if the black and white box was ticked for another file.

Does the Class 10 certificate have a size rule too?

Yes, it is a PDF of 50 to 300 KB. Use the Compress PDF to KB tool with the NTA certificate rule for that file.

Why is my JEE photo only 30 KB when 200 KB is allowed?

The tool starts at the highest quality that fits. A 413 x 531 pixel photo is usually well under 200 KB even at top quality, which is fine because the range allows it.
