Projects that read like work
Choose projects that answer a business question rather than repeat a tutorial. A demand forecast for delivery zones, a dashboard on public match data or an analysis of loan drop-offs each show cleaning, analysis and a conclusion. India's open government data portal, data.gov.in, and public datasets on sport, transport or retail make good raw material. Give each project a line on the method and a line on the result, and link the code.
Turning internship duties into results
'Worked on SQL queries' says what you were asked to do. 'Wrote 40 SQL queries for the weekly sales report, cutting manual work by 6 hours a week' says what changed. Look for counts of rows, reports, stores, users or hours, and for a before and an after. If you cannot share exact figures, describe the scale honestly, such as 'about 120 stores'.
Certificates, tools and keywords
A course certificate shows you studied a tool; a project shows you can use it, so list certificates briefly at the end. Use the exact names from the job ad, such as Power BI or pandas, when they are true of you, and paste the ad into Job match to see which of its words your resume is still missing.

Questions
Can a fresher get a data analyst job without an internship?
Yes, but your projects must carry the weight an internship would. Two well-documented projects with clear results, a tidy GitHub page and solid SQL often count for more than a short internship with vague duties.
Which skills should a data analyst fresher list first?
SQL and Excel come first for most analyst roles, followed by Python or R and a dashboard tool. Group them by type, such as Tools and Analysis, and make sure each one also appears in a bullet that shows you using it.
Should I mention my CGPA?
Yes. Many campus drives and off-campus forms filter on it, and leaving it out makes recruiters wonder why. Give it the way your university does, for example 8.4 of 10.
How do I tailor the resume for each application?
Keep one master copy, then make a copy per job under New resume. Paste the job ad into Job match, move your closest work to the top of each list, and add the ad's words only where they describe something you have done.
