Image to Excel
Detect tabular data in images and PDFs, review and correct the extracted grid, then export it as a real XLSX workbook.
Uploads your file to be processed onlineFree trial: 1 run of Image to Excel every day. After that, 2 credits per run. Each page or image counts as one run.
Lift a table out of a photograph or PDF into a spreadsheet
Photograph or screenshot a table and get a genuine .xlsx workbook, with an editable grid to correct anything misread before you export. Every cell is kept as text, so leading zeros, product codes and reference numbers survive exactly as printed. Recognition runs on an external provider, so the image is transmitted.
What Image to Excel gives you
Editable preview grid
Correct any cell before exporting, rather than downloading a workbook and fixing it afterwards.
Cells stay as text
Leading zeros and codes are preserved exactly, instead of a spreadsheet silently turning 00123 into 123.
Images and PDF pages
Up to 12 files and 30 pages in one pass, with progress reported per file and page.
Per-file outcomes
One failed page does not discard the results that worked.
Genuine XLSX output
A real Office Open XML workbook, not a CSV with a spreadsheet extension.

Questions about Image to Excel
Can I check the result before exporting?
Yes. The extracted grid is editable, and nothing is exported until you confirm it.
Are identifiers kept as text?
Yes. Values that look like codes or have leading zeros are written as text so a spreadsheet cannot reformat them into numbers.
How do I get a table from a photo into Excel?
Add the photograph, screenshot or PDF and extract. The table comes back as an editable grid you correct against the source, then export as a genuine .xlsx that Excel, LibreOffice and Numbers open directly.
Will my product codes keep their leading zeros?
Yes. Every cell is kept as text, so 00123 stays 00123 rather than becoming 123. Convert the columns you genuinely need as numbers in your spreadsheet afterwards, which is safer than guessing during extraction.
How should I photograph the table?
Square on, filling the frame, in even light. Perspective distortion is the main cause of columns shifting, because a table photographed at an angle has rows that are no longer straight lines across the image.
Are merged cells and nested headers preserved?
No. A complex header layout is flattened, so a table with merged cells or two header rows will need tidying after export. Simple grids come through far more cleanly.
Is my image uploaded?
Yes. Reading a table from a picture needs a vision model that cannot run in a browser, so the image is sent to an external provider. The image and the extracted table are never logged by us.
How many pages can I process at once?
Up to 12 files and 30 pages in total, with progress reported per file and page. One failed page does not discard the results that already worked.
